Atatürk Airport - Piya Hostel

The distance between our hostel and Atatürk Airport is approximately 18 kilometers (11 miles). The cheapest way to get to our hostel from there is to use public transportation. After you land on Atatürk Airport, you need to go to YUSUFPAŞA using metro. From there, you need to change the vehicle and get on to the tram which will take you to the SULTANAHMET stop. After you get off in Sultanahmet, walk towards the Sultan Ahmet Mosque and follow the path between Sultan Ahmet Mosque and Ayasofya. Turn right when you see the hotel, then turn to first left and then finally the first right. Walk across street and you will see the Akbıyık Mosque. If you walk 50 meters from the mosque, you can see our hostel.

Sabiha Gökçen Airport - Piya Hostel

The distance between Piya Hostel and Sabiha Gökçen Airport is 65 kilometers. You can take a Taxi to historical Sultanahmet from Sabiha Gökçen Airport. It takes approximately 60 to 90 minutes from the airport to get to Piya Hostel, though this number can change depending on traffic. Another way to get to Piya Hostel is to use Havaş Bus Services. Some of those buses can take you to Sultanahmet. For other buses which stop at Kadıköy, you can go to Eminönü using ferry from Kadıköy; and then drop at the Sultanahmet stop after get on a tram from Eminönü. You can also take the "E-3 KURTKÖY - UYDUKENT - 4. LEVENT METRO" public bus and get off at the last stop, and then get to Taksim using 4.Levent-Taksim metro line, then finally take the T4 bus which will take you to Sultanahmet.

Ayasofya Museum/Church

Church of Holy Wisdom, which is regarded as one of the most beautiful architectural structures in the world was built by Roman Emperor Justinian I in 535 AC. The chruch, which was made a mosque after the Fall of Constantinople, is currently being used as a museum. It is one of the "must see" places of Istanbul with it's perfect dimensions and beautiful Byzantine mosaics.

Topkapı Palace Museum

The palace, which was built in 15th century, was the place the Sultans used to live. From 15th to 19th centuries, it hosted legendary Ottoman Sultans. It's architectural style is very different from other western-style palaces. We absolutely recommend you to see it's Harem, Section of Holy Deposits and the "Mansion of Baghdad" with it's golden roof.

Aya İrin Church

This church, which was built in 6th century, is located at the garden of Topkapı Palace.

This underground cave full of amazing columns was used as a water storage in both Byzantium and Ottoman Empires.

Sultan Ahmad Mosque

This mosque, which was built in 17th century, is the most well known mosque in the city. It is very different from other mosques with it's six minarets and it's walls decorated with blue stones from İznik. Sultan Ahmad Mosque is also open out of prayer hours.
